I hated the antagonist, Adam, in this novel with such passion that I'm tempted to rewrite it as fan-fic. Would one little decapitation have been too much for Missy in her persona as War? Please? I had to stop myself from skimming ahead, hoping to get to the glorious scene where Adam got his comeuppance--violently or otherwise, but it never came. So, while I loved Jackie Kessler's Hunger--which was among the best novels I read last year, [b:Rage|7670661|Rage (Horsemen of the Apocalypse, #2)|Jackie Kessler|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51GVwQft9LL._SL75_.jpg|10281706] was perhaps a bit too realistic for my taste.
